Create the Spring/Summer 2012 hair trends

The spring/summer2012 catwalks were awash with playful, feminine and wearable hairdos. Ponytails were a hot favourite among designers, from long shiny ponies to casual statement-sectioned styles.

You can get the look at home by using straighteners and then tying your hair into a mid head ponytail. For a fresh 2012 image, add a wrap around the base of the ponytail for the ‘90s-inspired look, as seen on the Donna Karan catwalk.

Side partings were also a key hair style for designers this season. You can add instant glamour to any look by using Babyliss straighteners to straighten the fringe as it sweeps across your forehead from your side parting.

Kate Middleton’s gorgeous tresses inspired many of the key spring/summer 2012 catwalk looks with glamorous blowouts being used by many of the top designers.

Heated rollers or Babyliss Big Hair will help you create the beautiful Kate Middleton look.  Use the Babyliss Big Hair on damp or nearly dry hair and the large rotating barrel will create the desired volume while the soft bristles will make your hair super shiny.

‘80s-inspired textured hair was another trend with celebrities such as Fearne Cotton sporting the look. Crimping is easy and fun to do with the Babyliss Pro Crimper 210.  If you don’t fancy crimping all of your hair, then it’s easy to get the look by just taking a section of hair and adding texture to it.

Alternatively, crimp your ponytail and combine two of the hottest hair trends this season with one simple sweep of the brush (and with the help of crimping tongs!).
